Meet the Doctors

Scott A. Hackett M.D. has been associated with Northside ENT Beginning in July 1991. He graduated with highest distinction from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1986 and completed his specialty training in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery in 1991. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Hackett is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Hackett is one of five Ear, Nose, and Throat specialists named to the "Top 125 Doctors" in central Indiana by Indianapolis Monthly magazine in November, 2007. His professional interests include patient care and medical education. Dr. Hackett has an active interest in medical and surgical treatment of diseases and disorders of the head and neck, including adults and children. Areas of special interest include minimally invasive treatment of parathyroid and sinus disorders, thyroid surgery, problems of the voice, and treatment of pediatric diseases. He is an active participant in the training of residents at St. Vincent Hospital and has twice been named the “Specialty Teacher of the Year” by the family medicine residents of St. Vincent Hospital.

Dr. Hackett is currently chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology –Head and Neck Surgery at St. Vincent Hospital. He serves on the Board of Directors at Naab Road Surgery Center as well as the St. Vincent Medical Executive Committee, which reports to the Board of St. Vincent Hospital.

Dr. Hackett and his wife, Tricia, have two children, Stephanie and Emerson.
